State-of-the-Art Outdoor Fitness Court® Coming to Hoyt Park.

(Glasgow, MT – September 25, 2025) Glasgow Recreation Department, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Montana and National Fitness Campaign (NFC) today announced a partnership to bring an outdoor Fitness Court® and digital wellness programming to the City of Glasgow. The Fitness Court®, located at Hoyt Park, will open October 1 at 12:00 PM with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

This Fitness Court® was developed by the Glasgow Recreation Department, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Montana, and NFC to expand free access to high-quality workouts and create equitable access to exercise for communities across the region. The Fitness Court® is the world’s best outdoor gym that lets users leverage their own body weight to get a complete workout using seven exercise stations.

Created for adults of all abilities aged 14+, the Fitness Court® workouts are adaptable for all fitness levels, allowing participants to move at their own pace. Users also may download the free Fitness Court® App which acts as a coach-in-your-pocket and enhances the outdoor gym into a digitally supported wellness experience. The Glasgow Recreation Department is the first Campaign Partners building a network of Fitness Courts across the state, with the help of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Montana.

“On behalf of the Glasgow Recreation Department and the City of Glasgow, I am thrilled to announce the opening of the new state-of-the-art outdoor fitness court. The Fitness Court will provide the community with a free, outdoor workout space designed for full-body circuit training. We are extremely proud that this is the first-ever National Fitness Court in the state of Montana. With this Fitness Court, we are continuing our commitment to providing our residents with exceptional recreational activities.” said Jory Casterline, Director of Recreation for the City of Glasgow.

“We are excited to have the Glasgow Recreation Department  join us in the journey to improve health and wellness as we work to make a powerful and long lasting impact on health outcomes and happiness by building healthy communities across America,’’ said Mitch Menaged, founder of National Fitness Campaign. “The addition of the outdoor Fitness Court, along with digital wellness programming, demonstrates a tremendous commitment to the health and wellbeing within the Glasgow community.”

The City of Glasgow will celebrate the launch of the first-ever Fitness Court in Montana as part of the statewide campaign with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Montana and NFC on Tuesday, October 1, at 12:00 p.m. MT. To bring excitement to the ceremony, Montana sports broadcaster and historian Rocky Erickson will serve as Master of Ceremonies. Erickson, the voice behind Rocky Erickson Sports Stories and Montana Sports, is a multiple-time Montana Sportscaster of the Year and a recognized authority on Montana athletics. A Wolf Point native, he brings a local connection to this milestone event, making the launch even more special for the Glasgow community.

Residents are invited to attend the launch event on October 1st  at 12:00 PM to try the Fitness Court®. For more information contact the Glasgow Recreation Department at 406-698-4743.
