Outdoor Fitness Equipment
for Colleges and Universities

Campus recreation directors, student affairs, and facilities teams are turning to outdoor fitness equipment for colleges and universities as a scalable way to support student wellness. The Fitness Court® extends outdoor access, complements existing campus recreation programs, and serves the broader community. National Fitness Campaign (NFC) guides the process from site planning to installation.
Who it's built for

Designed for Every Campus, Every Size

From 4-year universities to community colleges and commuter campuses, the Fitness Court is built to fit a wide range of student populations and site footprints. Once installed, it's free to use with no membership, no check-in, and no staff required, so students can work out between classes, after hours, or whenever the gym isn't an option.

What the Fitness Court® Solves for Your Campus

Campus recreation teams face the same pressures everywhere: limited hours, crowded peak times, and growing demand for wellness amenities on a flat budget. The Fitness Court addresses those gaps with outdoor fitness equipment your facilities team can support without new staff, utilities, or capacity systems.

Athletics, Wellness, and Student Connection

Athletic teams and club groups use the Fitness Court for conditioning, wellness coordinators build programming around it, and students treat it as a shared outdoor space that fosters campus connection without requiring on-campus residence.

No Utilities or Operational Overhead

No power connections, no moving parts, no maintenance contracts, no staff supervision. College campus facilities teams get outdoor fitness equipment that runs itself and complements the indoor fitness space you already have.

Built for the Whole Community

Every Fitness Court installation is free and open to neighbors and surrounding residents, not just enrolled students, creating a shared space where campus and community come together. For community colleges and institutions with open-access missions, it's a natural extension of the work you're already doing.
Student wellbeing
"This Fitness Court is a strategic investment that will benefit all Passaic County residents for many years to come. Unless PCCC students and local residents maintain good physical, mental, and emotional health, they are unable to achieve their educational and career goals and lead fulfilling lives. Residents of Passaic County, our students, and surrounding communities should take advantage of this new addition to their neighborhood. It’s a great day to celebrate health, wellness, and community."
Steven Rose, President - Passaic County Community College
The Fitness Court is not a clinical program. It is a meaningful part of a campus environment that takes student wellness seriously, and it is available any time without requiring a staff member to open the door.
Campus identity and the art component

A Space That Looks Like It Belongs to Your Campus

Your campus has its own branding, and your outdoor fitness equipment should speak to it. Every Fitness Court installation includes an art component that can be shaped to reflect your institution's identity, whether through collaboration with student or local artists, custom work with NFC's design team, or designs that connect directly to your existing campus branding. Talk to NFC about what customization could look like for your institution.

Outdoor classes and campus programming

Take Programming Outside with the Fitness Court Studio

When indoor studios fill up and waitlists grow, the Fitness Court Studio opens the ceiling. It's a dedicated 38-by-73-foot outdoor wellness hub built for instructor-led classes, wellness events, and scheduled programming, with no power, permanent structure, or mechanical systems required. For campus recreation departments, it's a way to grow class capacity without growing your footprint indoors.
