Partnership brings free, innovative fitness resources to Dublin, supporting community health, access, and wellbeing
Dublin, CA – April 3, 2026 – The Dublin Unified School District, in partnership with the National Fitness Campaign (NFC), has unveiled a new outdoor Fitness Court® and digital wellness programming at York Alternative Learning Center, expanding free access to high-quality fitness opportunities for students, staff, and the broader community. Located at the west end of the track between Wells Middle School and the current Valley High School campus, the Fitness Court® is open to the public and designed to support active, healthy lifestyles for individuals across the Tri-Valley region.
Developed through a collaboration between the District and NFC, the Fitness Court® is part of a nationwide initiative to build healthy communities by removing barriers to exercise and increasing equitable access to wellness resources. Recognized as one of the world’s most advanced outdoor gyms, the Fitness Court® allows users to leverage their own body weight across seven exercise stations to complete a full workout. Designed for adults of all abilities ages 14 and older, the Fitness Court supports users at every fitness level, while the free Fitness Court® App provides guided workouts and coaching, creating a seamless blend of outdoor activity and digital wellness support.
“We know that access matters when it comes to health and wellness,” said Superintendent Chris Funk. “By bringing a Fitness Court and supportive programming into our community, we are helping remove barriers and ensuring that more students and families have the opportunity to engage in regular physical activity.”
“By bringing an outdoor Fitness Court and digital wellness programming to Dublin, the District is creating a lasting resource that supports physical and mental wellbeing while making fitness accessible to everyone. We are proud to partner with the Dublin Unified School District to help bring that vision to life,” said Mitch Menaged, founder of National Fitness Campaign. “The addition of the outdoor Fitness Court and digital wellness programming reflects a meaningful investment in improving health outcomes and expanding opportunities for movement, connection, and wellbeing across the Dublin community.”
The District extends its appreciation to Fremont Bank and Roebbelen Construction for their generous support in bringing the Fitness Court® to the Dublin community. Their partnership reflects a shared commitment to expanding access to health and wellness resources and creating opportunities for residents of all ages to engage in active, healthy lifestyles.
