In the heart of Westland, Michigan, there's an inspiring story unfolding—one that encapsulates determination, healthy living, and the power of community. Lynn Daughtery, at 66 years young, discovered the Fitness Court® when the City of Westland, Priority Health and National Fitness Campaign cut the ribbon. A vivacious and active senior, Lynn took part in the demonstrations and is excited to have the world’s best outdoor gym a few blocks away from her house.
Carrie Gieseke - Riverside, MO
In a world where fitness often comes with a price tag, there are individuals like Carrie Gieseke who prove that determination and creativity can pave the way to a healthy and active lifestyle. Carrie's story is one of resilience, passion, and a commitment to staying fit without breaking the bank. Her discovery of the Fitness Court not only transformed her fitness journey but also highlighted the profound impact such spaces can have on individuals who cannot afford a gym membership.
Trista Olson - Iron County, WI
A cancer survivor who found solace through exercise, Trista makes a daily effort to appreciate her body for what it can do, shifting her mindset knowing that she can (and has done!) hard things. Being fit allows her the opportunity to play with her children, try new things, create stability when doing daily tasks and control what she can to keep her healthy for years to come.
Rashonna Moore - Del City, OK
Through Rashonna Moore’s involvement with the Fitness Court® and her Health is Wealth 90-day challenge, she has made a significant impact on the lives of many individuals within her community. Rashonna's advice to be passionate about being healthy and present serves as a powerful reminder for everyone to prioritize their well-being. With 250 community members strong, she has helped shape community wellness in Del City.
Tracy Threatt - Charlotte, NC
When Lowe's and the Carolina Panthers approached Veterans Bridge Home about some partnership ideas around Veterans Day, they had a great idea. Bring world-class outdoor fitness to Charlotte to help build community. Since then, Veterans Bridge Home has been active on their Fitness Court at Veterans Memorial Park every Wednesday, rain or shine, at 0600 hours.

Courtney Nalivka knows that life is too short. That’s why after working 12 years in a hospital setting within chronic disease management, she shifted her focus to preventative health. Alongside her mother Cindy, an avid fitness enthusiast who is going through chemotherapy treatments, this dynamic-duo have been inspiring the Elko community with free weekly classes since October 2022.

Laura has always been into fitness, and views it as her therapy. When her mom turned her life around at age 70 by losing 100lbs, she decided to become a personal trainer and make fitness her career. She thought if she could help or encourage just one more person in her life to reach their fitness goals, it would all be worth it. Today, she's inspiring her community in West Allis, WI to believe in themselves and their fitness journey.
