Washoe County, NV
On a bright sunny day in September, Washoe County added a third Fitness Court® to their growing network (City of Sparks launched in the spring fo 2023) with two stunning Fitness Courts® in Rancho San Rafael and South Valleys regional parks. Each Fitness Court® features unique artwork from Reno’s own Remy Glock that highlight specific elements special to both parks they call home.
Elko, NV
Courtney Nalivka knows that life is too short. That’s why after working 12 years in a hospital setting within chronic disease management, she shifted her focus to preventative health. Alongside her mother Cindy, an avid fitness enthusiast who is going through chemotherapy treatments, this dynamic-duo have been inspiring the Elko community with free weekly classes since October 2022.
Elko, NV
Elko became the first Renown Health Fitness Court® to launch in September 2022, kicking off the Nevada campaign. In partnership with Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital, local schools, and the Boys and Girls Club, the City of Elko helped bring the Fitness Court® to Angel Park, providing access to free outdoor fitness for approximately 4,000 residents.
